HOW TO BE PREPARED EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ORGANIZED

Updated: Oct 26, 2022

Do you have to be super organized to be prepared for something? Heck no! You just need to follow the steps, like a tracker in the woods.

Perhaps you don’t even know what information you need to prepare. Again, find the steps you can follow.

What steps, you ask? Well, find someone else that has already put together a plan, with steps that give you direction, and an easy format for you to enter your own details. 1-2-3 easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Well, almost. Projects always take longer than you hoped. Boy do I identify with this. My husband and I are just finishing a pergola. I think we could own Lowe’s by now with all the trips we’ve made for supplies and tools, but do you want to know the best part of this project? We did it together.

You know the saying, “Teamwork makes the dream work”? Overused, but it’s true. Being a team gave us two people to look at things from different perspectives. Sometimes that meant one of us crying, “Uncle” for the day when we were too tired to keep going, but we were right back at it the next day. My husband had researched the steps and I followed his lead.

FIND A PLAN THAT GIVES YOU STEPS TO FOLLOW SO YOU ARE PREPARED TO COMPLETE WHATEVER PROJECT YOU ARE ATTEMPTING

I give people steps to follow for recording and organizing information that is important for their family, so they are prepared when the information is needed. If you’d like to read about times that you might benefit from having your information ready at your fingertips you can read this blog.

THE KEY IS TO GET PREPARED SO YOU ARE READY BEFORE YOUR INFORMATION IS REQUIRED

That comes from getting ready now.

If you are interested in trying out the format I use, I have a free catalog for you to record contacts for Work Done On Your House.

If you like how it works and would like to join a class to begin recording and organizing other information, look at the classes available on my website Prepared & Informed Families. Follow the plan one step at a time and you will be prepared.
